Washington Real Estate ListingsWritten by James Lyons The Washington real estate listings change constantly. Developers are buying up a number of these old DC brick houses and renovating them. Some entrepreneurs have bought up the old houses and converted them into bars and restaurants. I remember an especially popular cigar and martini bar in one of these old Washington DC houses. As everything in the nation's capitol improves--transportation, education, crime, local economy, real estate--more people move to this splendid city to reap the benefits. It's one of the few cities in the United States where I could spend the rest of my life. There's so much to do for free and so much to do for cheap. These things I mention are enriching things like theatre, museums, and historical monuments. Not many cities bundle education with entertainment quite as effectively as Washington DC. Washington Real Estate Listings Leave Out Important InformationMost Washington real estate listings give you very little information on the neighborhood. The Washington real estate listings usually don't give you much. Do some investigating? Find out how close the house, apartment, loft or condo is to a Metro line. The Metro has become the lifeblood of Washington DC. It has connected the city in ways New York City never dreamed. Residential as well as commercial real estate are reaping the benefits of the Metro. People are able to spend their money in the restaurants, bars, clubs, and theatres instead of spending it on gas, auto insurance, and car maintenance.
