Camas real estate is another booming hotbed of activity, as this city is in close proximity to Vancouver and other area attractions. Located in the eastern hilly portion of Clark County, Camas is home to approximately 15,000 residents, as well as quite a few large, hi-tech manufacturing industries. Like Vancouver, Camas is located along the banks of the Columbia River, and it has become one of the area's more desirable small cities.

Camas has some elegant homes located in the Prune Hill area, which is an ancient and dormant volcanic hill, that once held a prune orchard. Expansive homes hug the hillside, offering spectacular views of the downtown Portland area and Mt. Hood. The city also has a downtown area that has been in the process of refurbishment to further attract residents to the area.

Diverse Camas Real Estate

Camas began its history as a paper mill town over 100 years ago, and it continues to grow and expand to bring together the diverse cultures of the area that make it so diverse. Camas has some lovely family-oriented neighborhoods with sidewalks and tree-lined streets. There are recreational parks in the area that are geared towards families with children, and the economy in Camas is sound.

Many people who work in Vancouver choose to live in Camas, as it is in close proximity to the bigger surrounding cities. In addition, Camas has beautiful open spaces that make it feel like a charming small town even though it is classified as a city. Camas is a family-oriented city with beautiful scenery and a moderate climate, good for living and working.
