Meet Your Match
Written by Sierra Rein
To meet your match, you have to have your proverbial chips in the right place. Simply sitting and waiting for people to recognize your talents and interesting personality will never get you anywhere. Psychologists, relationship gurus, and matchmakers alike know that a wallflower will never meet his or her romantic partner unless a few steps forward are taken.
Whether you wish to find a friend who can honestly stimulate you intellectually or are trying to find the love of your life, it is best to begin associating yourself with a social network of sorts. Many people choose the online route and sign up with a few matchmaking services. This is a good idea if you do not feel your current neighborhood offers a good array of interesting people to date, or if you do not have the time to constantly go to bars and parties to meet new people.
How to Meet Your Match Without the Wait
To actually "match" yourself with another single person, it takes the ability to recognize your own interests and honestly diagnose what makes you happy in a date. Take a moment to write down a list of what you enjoy doing and what your personal goals are. Include these on your online profile and you'll attract others with your same interests, hobbies and intentions for the future.
Once you have a few potential dates lined up, take care not to give out any of your personal information. Keep your financial status, place of business, and home address to yourself until you choose one person to become intimate with. You will then know if your search to meet your match is over.
