Florida's natural attractions, beaches, hotels, and convention centers make it a popular choice for couples looking for the perfect place to get married. As a result, many wedding suppliers do business here, and there are countless options from which to choose. Whether it's a caterer, entertainer, or photographer, people can find services they need for a variety of special events.

Before comparing prices and portfolios, couples must first decide what type of wedding photography they need. Many brides opt for a full bridal portrait to be taken and developed before the wedding, to display at the reception and/or run in the local newspaper. Some couples choose to have an engagement portrait made as well, which is usually an informal picture of the couple to be used for a variety of purposes.

Capturing Memorable Moments

If traditional, posed wedding portraits are desired, a couple should be prepared with a list of necessary shots. These should include all groupings of family and wedding party members they want for the wedding album. Other common choices for must-have shots are pictures of the cake cutting, close-ups and full-length shots of the bride, and shots of the rings, invitations, and wedding cake.

Choosing the necessary shots may be harder than it would seem when one considers all the traditional elements in a typical ceremony: the throwing of the bouquet, the first kiss, and the first dance, to name a few. Websites and bridal magazines provide helpful resources and checklists for selecting the most important shots for each couple. These resources can also be helpful in displaying lots of examples of impressive wedding photos to provide inspiration and ideas. You may also want to use web-based locator services to find all available photographers in the area, especially if you're running on a tight schedule.
