There are a million different human resources services and a million different companies providing these human resources services. Which one do you choose? That's a difficult question because there are many companies out there that have built and maintained solid reputations across various industries. First, you need to determine exactly what services your company requires. Then you can do a little shopping.

Most existing human resources outsourcing companies specialize in recruitment services and employee screening services. This is the greatest need among most larger-sized companies so companies have emerged to help satisfy that need. Services such as drug testing, reference verification and identity verification are better performed by outsourcing companies that specialize in these types of services.

Outsourcing Human Resources Services

Every major company I have every worked with as a consultant solicited the services of other human resources specialists. These companies were profitable companies largely because they maintained a relatively low employee turnover ratio. They were able to keep turnover low because their hiring process was smooth, quick, and incredibly thorough. Their in-house recruiters and HR managers handled the interviewing and their partner HR companies handled the rest.

Their partner companies performed other human resources services like assessment testing, drug testing, executive background checks, reference checks, criminal background checks, and so on. These corporations were able to run the interview process and these other screening measures simultaneously, thus condensing the hiring process without sacrificing its integrity. Effective corporations and privately held businesses consistently turn a profit because they consistently have the right people in place matched to the right jobs.
