Crime Investigations

Crime investigations are not the sole territory of traditional law enforcement officials. In many cases, an investigation may be outside of any government agency's jurisdiction, and they can't legally involve themselves. In cases like these, private investigators are available to handle your investigative needs.

Private Crime Investigations

Let's take a look at some examples where a private investigation into a crime would be necessary. If you are the owner of a corporation, you may have experience employee theft, but you've been unable to determine who has been stealing from you. Without real evidence, you'll have a difficult time convincing the local police to get involved.

Since your assets are an important part of your company, you may want to hire a private investigator to handle your crime investigations. A P.I. is licensed to come into your workplace in order to determine how the theft occurred and who was responsible. Using methods like electronic surveillance and interviewing employees, private crime investigations can lead to the discovery of who has been stealing from the company and, in the best cases, can offer up proof.

Armed with a reasonable amount of proof, you can then turn your crime investigation over to government authorities. They will then have the ability to investigate and prosecute the perpetrator to the fullest extent of the law. Not only have you made their job easier, but you've helped them catch and prosecute a criminal that they otherwise would have been unable to convict.
