Badge ClipsWritten by Serena Berger If you want visitors to use ID badges, you have to provide them with a means of wearing them or attaching them wherever they belong. In some cases, you can use a simple adhesive label. For more durability, security, or reliability, you may want to include a label holder or badge clip so that the badge will last as long as you want it to and be prominently and safely displayed. Standard Metal Badge ClipsA metal clip with a strap is sufficient for attaching a badge to clothing. You can laminate the badge and snap the strap onto the badge. The visitor or employee can then clip the badge onto a coat, belt, or bag. You can get a short or long strap, depending on where you prefer badges to be displayed, or if you want to give employees a choice. Metal clamps are suitable for short or long term use. Plastic clips are comparably priced, and also a good option for short-term use. They are kinder to clothing than metal clamps, which may be a concern for some visitors. They are also safer to use if you are in a school or hospital where children might end up playing with them. In some cases, you may want visitors to use a temporary ID badge for their cars. People will not be happy about being asked to stick anything to their windows for a short period of time because it's so hard to get something off that's been affixed there. You don't want people simply to leave a paper badge resting on their dashboard, however, because it can easily be blown off or knocked off by a pet in the car. A plastic hang tag is not expensive for you to provide, and will be appreciated both by your guest and the security personnel who have to check for parking permits.
