ID card samples can help demonstrate to potential card designers the large number of options that are available in ID production. Most people think of an ID simply as a card with a photo and a name on it. Their only experience with a more advanced card is usually with something the government issued. However, there a number of different design, security, and use features available for IDs.

When a person is deciding what type of card to go with, he can take a look at what is out there. Samples will usually feature the major types of card on the market. There will be barcode, magnetic stripe, proximity, and smart cards. There should also be examples of cards that use different printing techniques to decrease the possibility of duplication. Gradient screens, holographic overlays, and ultra violet printing are some of the most popular methods used for this purpose.

Receiving ID Samples

If an ID product company has a physical location, samples will most likely be displayed. However, the majority of these companies operate over the Internet. To get samples one has to visit a company's website.

Pictures of IDs on a website do not typically do the product justice. Most sites make it possible to order free samples. Usually, though, certain information will be required. A person might have to enter what type of organization he is looking to make IDs for, where the organization is located, and how many people are involved. Submitting this info with email and mailing addresses pretty much guarantees that one way or another, a person will be receiving a steady flow of product information.
