Pallet Covers

Pallet covers do more than keep unattended cargo loads out of a would-be thief's line of vision. They also protect boxes and parcels from the elements and the regular wear-and-tear that is expected during shipment. Used in conjunction with other security measures, they are a formidable deterrent to criminals.

In-transit theft is a major problem for both shippers and receivers of goods. Thieves will continue to nickel and dime parcels until they are caught; as long as they can surreptitiously steal, no one will know where in the supply line the breach is. If they don't call attention to the theft--if they steal and cover their tracks--they are home free. Plus, they are likely to keep doing it.

Pallet Covers Reveal Theft

One significant advantage of pallet covers is they are self-contained; once their seal is broken, it is apparent a thief was at work. Essentially, he has indicated where and how he's been stealing. Obviously, a thief in this situation is not going to reveal his crimes and jeopardize his operation; he'll avoid cargo that is secured so well that it reveals any wrongdoing.

Using pallet covers lets shippers take a stand against regular theft, as long as they work in tandem with other security measures. Tamper evident tape and a locking mechanism on a pallet will either deter a thief or expose his work. Either way, you've made it more difficult for him to continue pilfering, and you've reduced the losses associated with continual thefts.
