Plastic Id Badge Holders

Plastic ID badge holders can greatly increase a badge's lifespan. Even well laminated IDs will fall apart over time. The process of reprinting and replacing IDs can be costly. Purchasing plastic badge holders is not expensive to begin with, and the amount of money saved in the long run makes the original payment well worth it.

People lose their IDs. The problem knows no age or rank bias. Whether someone is carrying an ID that allows him to get into his junior high math class or into the executive dining room at the office of a Fortune 500 company, there is a good chance that at some point the badge will simply disappear. The loss of an ID, on top of costing money, can cause security problems. Using a badge cover, and attaching that cover to a reel or lanyard will make it much easier for a person to hold onto his ID. Plastic covers do not interfere with ID readers, so a person will never have to take the badge out or off to use it.

Ordering Plastic Badge Covers

Most companies that sell ID products will carry plastic badge covers. Usually, there are different sizes to choose from. Some companies will even sell them already attached to lanyards or clips.

There are even specialty badge covers available. Some are simply more durable than others. Some can be easily cleaned and disinfected. "Disinfectable" covers, along with the specialty lanyards that they can be hooked to are preferred by hospitals and doctors' offices, because they can be quickly sterilized if necessary.
