Tamper Evident Packaging

Tamper evident packaging is an easy and trustworthy way of making sure your goods are safe while they are most vulnerable--during shipment. Between the time a package leaves your business or home and when it arrives at its final destination, anything can--and does--happen to it. The only thing stopping a thief from opening it up and removing the goods is a thin strip of tape.

Use Tamper Evident Packaging to Protect Your Goods

Sometimes a simple extra step is all you need to take to protect something of value. Think of two cars parked next to each other: one has open windows and unlocked doors, while the other one is locked up tight. Which one do you think is more appealing to a thief? The same is true of packages you send through the mail.

Just like a locked door won't stop auto theft, tamper evident packaging isn't going to stop crime. But it will make it more difficult for a criminal to pull it off, or maybe encourage him to find an easier victim. Any step you can take to increase the odds in your favor is worth taking, particularly during the long process of shipment.

One example of tamper evident packaging is sealing tape that reveals a hidden message once it's removed. Plus, it cannot be resealed after being cut open and is numbered periodically on its face. If sections of tape are used out of their numerical sequence, you can visually identify tampering before signing off on the delivery.
