Tamper Evident Security Seals

Tamper evident security seals let you know quickly and definitely if someone has opened or stolen your merchandise. Each years, millions of dollars' worth of goods are taken while packages are in transit. Boxes of personal and business goods are easily sliced open, ransacked, and then resealed before they reach their final destination.

Using tamper evident security seals makes it easier for you or your customers to recognize when this happens. Special sealing tapes that leave a hidden message when they are removed provide you with the telling evidence of tampering. If you see that someone has been in your shipment, you won't accidentally waive the delivery company's liability when you sign for your goods.

Tamper Evident Security Seals Visually Confirm Something Fishy

Generally, victims of theft during shipment don't find out until the UPS or Fed Ex guy have long gone. By then, it's too late to blame anyone for the theft; it's also too late to complain. Once you've signed and accepted your goods, you've also accepted all the accountability that goes with it.

The advantage of using tamper evident security seals is that you'll know before you sign for delivery if something is amiss. A quick inspection of the package will indicate is there's any foul play. Many tamper evident tapes will display a word or message that indicates it was illegally opened after the shipper sealed it. If you see or suspect something, point it out before the courier leaves; it's not a guaranty that you'll get your possessions back, but it will take the liability off your shoulders.
