Baseball Trophies

If you're involved in organizing or coaching a local baseball team, the time comes every year when you need to start shopping for awards and trophies. People always remember the years they spent participating in organized sports, and trophies are a great way of helping to immortalize those years. From championship trophies to team plaques, there are all different types of baseball trophies for you to consider for your team.

Depending on your budget, there are several types of high-end awards available for both team and individual accomplishments. For golden glove winners, for instance, you can purchase a cast iron trophy made to look like an actual golden glove. It's probably even possible to have a glove plated in real gold, although this wouldn't be the best idea for anyone making less than a major league salary!

Individual Award Baseball Trophies

The most common type of baseball trophy is the trophy with the baseball player statuette standing on top of a tall pillar. This is an extremely versatile type of trophy, since it fits virtually any individual accomplishment on a baseball team. This type of trophy is usually available with several different statue poses, from the swinging batter to the outfielder the pitcher in the middle of his windup.

If you want to get a bit more inventive, there are some other interesting types of baseball trophies out there. One is the baseball bobble head--basically a bobble head baseball player mounted on top of a small stand. These are again available in several different poses and styles.

For a player who played particularly well in a certain game, you can buy a special trophy that is made to hold the game ball. This type of trophy usually consists of a metallic holder or baseball glove mounted on a small stand with a customizable plaque. All you have to do is supply the game ball (which, hopefully, you remembered to save after the game)!

Baseball Trophies for the Team

Whether or not your team won the championship, their season was surely memorable enough that you'd want to give each and every player and coach a special little memento. If you've decided on individual awards for certain players, you'll probably want to give them trophies reflecting their accomplishments. But it's also important to give thanks to the rest of the team, and this is where team awards come in handy.

One of the nicest possible mementos for the players on your team is a team photograph. Photographs are much more personalized and interesting for people to look at than generic trophies--particularly when you pull them out of the closet years down the road. It always puts a smile on my face when I pull out my youth baseball team photos and remember all those guys I played with years ago.

A nice way to spruce up a team photo is to have it mounted on a special plaque. Most award and trophy shops will be able to do this for you, and they can include a personalized engraved plate below the photo that says the name of the team and the year. If you want to get a memento for every member of your team, this type of trophy is always sure to please.
