Hockey Trophies

Recognizing the accomplishments of your team and your individual players is a crucial part of any hockey coach's job. When the end of the season finally comes, it is time to look back and reflect on the time and effort put in by all of these individuals over the course of the season. This is when you determine who wins the individual achievement awards. If you're lucky and have worked hard enough, it is also the time when you distribute the championship trophies.

Trophies and Awards for Your Hockey Team

Many different types of hockey trophies are available, from awards recognizing individual accomplishment to trophies designed for the entire team. The best place to start is usually with your individual awards. You'll probably want to recognize those players who gave the most and who contributed the most to the success of your team.

For offensive players, there are some great-looking trophies with a bronzed statuette in action. You can actually choose between several different poses: passing, shooting or skating down the ice. If you're giving an award to a goalie, there are trophies with a statue of a goalie posed like he's making a big save.

Other types of trophies are available that are great for celebrating your team's overall accomplishments. If you won your division, for instance, you might want to get a customized hockey plaque (complete with bronzed puck and stick) that you can mount on a wall or in a school display case. Alternatively, you could get one of these for each member of the team, so they can take them home and have their very own championship keepsake!
