Pear shaped diamonds make beautiful earrings and pendants. Unlike your more common round diamonds, pear shape diamonds offer a thoroughly unique look. So if you're thinking about investing in a matching set of diamond jewelry, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at pear shaped diamonds.

Pear Shaped Diamonds Are Unique and Beautiful

Pear shaped diamonds are rarely found on diamond solitaire rings. The tear-drop shape ends in a rather pointy tip which can easily catch on cloth and other frequently handled items. Though they are lovely, pear-shaped diamonds aren't the most practical when it comes to diamond rings.

The most common place you'll find pear shaped diamonds is in pendants.
The tear drop shape makes an ideal pendant since the diamond appears to be following the laws of gravity. Suspended from a delicate chain and resting in the middle of your chest, a pear shaped diamond is sure to command attention.

Pear shaped diamonds are also quite popular when it comes to diamond drop earrings. Once again, the shape of the diamond works quite well in a suspended setting. One of my favorites styles is the hoop drop style--the diamond hangs from a small hoop instead of resting directly on the ear as stud would.
