Silver Chains

If you are looking for a chain to wear with a pendant or by itself, silver chains are a great alternative to significantly more expensive gold and platinum options. If you are attending a formal affair and are wearing a white, blue, purple, or even black gown, the warm luster of yellow gold may not bring out the best in your outfit. If you do not own any white gold, silver chains may look better with the gown than yellow gold.

All the styles of gold chains are available in silver. For example, curb chains and Figaro chains are both available in a variety of lengths and widths, which men might find equally appealing for themselves. Rope chains or snake chains may be perfect for wearing a pendant on a night out.

If you are looking for something more dramatic, consider a silver mesh chain. The texture of the chain can flow smoothly around the neck in a variety of widths from the delicate and nearly gossamer to the sultry and draping. A flat silver mesh chain can also be worn as a choker--one which is sure to draw attention to you.

Jewelry Doesn't Have to Cost a Fortune

Regardless of what salespeople and clever marketers would have you believe, jewelry does not have to cost several hundreds (or thousands) of dollars for it to be appreciated by the recipient of your gift. In particular, women who love to wear a variety of jewelry will appreciate having silver necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings from which to choose every day. While it might be disappointing to buy a woman a platinum and sapphire bracelet that she rarely wears, you know that a silver necklace will be worn often.
