A wedding band can be customized to fit the personality of the person it is being purchased for. You can buy a diamond studded ring or have one made out of solid silver or pure gold. Of course, another option is to select a braided wedding band.

The braided wedding bands on the market are for the most part two-toned. This typically means they are made out of two or three different shades of gold, which have been entwined together to form a single band. Because of the complexity of their design, these rings are almost always handcrafted and therefore will be slightly more expensive than a plain and simple wedding band.

Shades of Gold with Braided Bands

When crafting a braided wedding band, there are several different shades of gold to choose from. These shades include, but are not limited to, yellow gold, white gold, green gold, and rose gold. To produce the different color variations, the gold is mixed with several other elements like copper, silver, nickel, palladium or zinc.

Braided Bands Aren't Limited to Gold

Braided wedding bands are not limited to gold, as they can also be fashioned out of two totally different types of metals. For instance, a braided wedding band could consist of a platinum band interwoven with a ribbon of gold. Furthermore, the braided wedding band could be a simple silver ring that has been infused with several strips of gold for a wonderfully contemporary look.
