A grandmother bracelet is a gift that's sure to touch the heart. There are several varieties to choose from, including charm bracelets, name bracelets and birthstone bracelets. And they come in styles to suit any grammy from the sleek sophisticate to the one with the ruffled apron.

Birthstone Grandmother Bracelet

Birthstones are a pretty, colorful way to commemorate grandchildren. There are any number of designs that incorporate birthstones. You might want to give Grandma a slim bangle bracelet for each child. Or you might prefer a charm bracelet that can be added to with each new arrival. These come in some darling designs. I particularly like the birthstone baby pacifier charms and the little shoes with birthstone bows for girls and racing stripes for boys.

Boy and girl silhouette charms, each engraved with the grandchild's name and date of birth, are another option for a grandmother bracelet. As her grandchildren grow, you and they can add charms that commemorate special occasions. Charm bracelets come either as chains with dangling charms, or as bands to which flat charms are affixed.

Beaded name bracelets are also very popular. You can give her several strands, with a child's name spelled out on each strand. Beads and charms can also be combined. One appealing idea is to spell out Grandma's honorific in beads and append a charm for each grandchild. This is particularly sweet if she's called by an unusual name. (My nephew, for reasons known only to him, always called my mother "Ermie.") No matter what kind of grandmother bracelet you choose, you can be absolutely certain it will be treasured.
