Birthday Flowers

Birthday flowers are always appreciated as birthday gifts. You can choose from all different types of flowers for a birthday arrangement. Colorful flowers often work well since a birthday is such a happy and colorful occasion. You can choose an arrangement yourself, or choose the favorite flowers of the birthday recipient.

Types of Birthday Flowers

Nearly every type of flower could be considered appropriate for a birthday. If you want to get specific, though, certain flowers are designated for each birth month. The carnation is for January, violet for February, Daffodil for March, lily of the valley for May, rose for June, larkspur for July, gladiolus for August, aster for September, calendula for October, chrysanthemum for November, and poinsettia are designated for December.

You can choose to use the flower for the birth month of the person you are celebrating, or to compile an arrangement of many different flowers. You can also have birthday flowers placed on or around other birthday items such as gift baskets, birthday cakes, or fruit baskets. Some flower stores will also allow you to design a balloon bouquet for a birthday event.

All sorts of birthday flowers can be chosen for an arrangement. You can choose and arrange a bouquet yourself, of have a bouquet arranged for you. You may also want to use a basket for holding your arrangement instead of a vase, for broad tabletop display. You can order birthday flower arrangements to pick up yourself or have them delivered to the home of the recipient.
