Flower Shops

Flower shops are one of my favorite places to pass the time. Even if I'm not necessarily looking to buy flowers, I often have a difficult time passing by flower shops without at least peeking my head in to have a look. There's something about the wonderful variety of smells and colors found in a flower shop that lift my heart and make me smile.

Flower Shops Are Everywhere-- Even Online!

I'm lucky enough to live in Los Angeles, where flower shops dot every major street. Some of my favorites are the ones who cater to rose-enthusiasts (yes, I count myself among this group). Maybe it's the warm weather, or maybe it's the sunshine, but the roses you find in California flower shops are simply amazing. I never knew there were so many shapes and varieties until I found myself wandering through their aisles of beautiful fragrant roses.

Of course, you can easily find flower shops no matter where you live. And if you're lucky enough to have time to browse, buying flowers for someone else can be a treat for you as well. The scents and hues of these living gems are enough to brighten anyone's day.

If you're in a hurry and don't have time to stop by your local flower shops, you can still buy flowers online. It's quick and easy, and you can still enjoy looking at beautiful pictures of bouquets while you make your choice. The one advantage that flower shops have over internet florists is smell-- although hopefully they'll figure out how to download the smell of fresh roses sometime in the near future. Then I'll never have to leave home!
