Peonies Wholesale

Purchasing Peonies wholesale requires an upfront investment of money before any profit can be made, but the sources available are more plentiful than anyone might imagine. A good wholesale nursery, that may also ship retail to the individual gardener, will provide strong, healthy peony roots that have 2 to 5 eyes. The plants are usually not ready for shipping before they are two years old.

Wholesale prices do not apply to individual roots. In fact, ordering a dozen or more of the same plant is generally a requirement, and most wholesale nurseries provide additional price breaks for orders of 2 dozen, or 4 dozen of the same plant. A backup source for purchasing peonies wholesale is always a good idea.

When purchasing peonies wholesale from an overseas nursery, look for EEU and USA certification. Nurseries without that certification will be unable to export to any country that requires it. That is not to say there is anything wrong with the plants they supply to their own countrymen and women. Far from it, as a rule. Most peony growers take great pride in what they offer to the public, either directly or indirectly.

A Revived Market for Peonies Wholesale

The market for all peonies has revived in recent years, leaving open many possible outlets, from the traditional Memorial Day grave decoration to wedding bouquets and "everyday" floral arrangements. Dried and freeze-dried peonies (bud and blossom) and other preserved flower supplies are also available through wholesalers. If traveling any distance, fresh cut peonies are almost always shipped air freight, with the buyer paying freight charges for such a high-value crop. Shipped in the bud stage, they arrive with instructions for proper opening of the flowers.
