Same day flower deliveries are possible, and not just if you deliver the flowers yourself! Those of you who need to send flowers (fast) will be pleased to learn that you can do so to anywhere in the country, and also to a lot of international destinations. Same day flower deliveries are actually pretty easy to handle-- you can even do it online with just a few clicks of the mouse.

The miracle of modern communication is what makes same day flower deliveries possible. Years ago your only chance would be paying your local florist a handsome ransom to put his other orders aside and deliver that perfect bouquet to your friend or loved one. But thanks to international florist networks such as FTD and Teleflora, you can set up same day delivery flower deliveries from hundreds --even thousands-- of miles away! Just keep in mind that there are a few restrictions.

Restrictions for Same Day Flower Deliveries

The main restriction for same day flower deliveries is usually timing. Most online flower delivery companies (as well as FTD or Teleflora affiliated florists) require that your order be placed by noon of the day that you need the flowers delivered. Now keep in mind, if the person you're sending the flowers to lives in another time zone, "noon" means 12pm in the time zone where the flowers are being delivered.

If you're placing your order from New York, but your flowers are being delivered in LA, you have until 3pm Eastern Standard Time to place your order. If it's the other way around, you have to order by 9am Pacific Time. This gives the local florist enough time to have your flower arrangement ready, so that it can be delivered by the end of the work day.
