Custom Silk Screening

Many silk screen printing companies have a stock of designs to offer to customers. Some customers, however, prefer to have a design that is exclusively their own. For them, in-house graphic designers can design any image or logo to suit customer requirements. While some customers decide to try and save money by creating their own design from copyright-free images downloaded from the Internet, they will almost certainly need some attention from a professional in order to give the desired effect.

If a customer has a design they want to use, this is almost always possible if the original image is clear enough to be digitized. Even then, in some cases, digital photography processes can save the day. If you will be supplying the garments to be processed, bear in mind that very stretchy or loose-weave fabrics are generally not suitable for silk screen printing.

Agreeing on Terms

Whatever type of silk screen printing you decide on, expect that the company will quote you for a minimum number of items. This isn't always the case, though. Because the advent of computerized machines has made the process a lot faster and cheaper, there are now many companies competing for business and this has been good for customers, as they vie to offer better terms with each order.

Often, you don't even have to leave your home or office to choose a company, discuss terms and agree on your image and items. It can all be done online. You can place your order through an online order form and your order will reach you just days later--in some cases less. Many companies will now even process overseas orders.
