Electronic message displays are the hot new tool in billboards and both indoor and outdoor sign displays. Using LED technology, which stands for light-emitting diodes, these electronic message displays are direct, instantaneous, and also a bit glitzy. With all of these winning combinations they are sure to enhance any operation that depends on the dissemination of information.

Electronic Message Displays Are Programmable

Electronic message displays can be constructed to display one line or two lines generally, but multi-line versions are also available. LED displays come in a variety of sizes. Some common specifications include 16, 24, 32, or 40 characters per line. What's more they are also programmable. These easy to use, programmable signs ensure that control is definitely in the hands of the operator.

There are also a number of options when it comes to choosing a color for your LED signs. The basic colors are red, green, yellow, or even a combination of all three. However, blue and white may also be selected, and also orange in some situations. White light, interestingly, has proved the most difficult to create.

True white light is almost within reach by developers. In the meantime, white light is created through mixing together a hodgepodge of single red, blue, and green lights. Also popular is coating a blue light with phosphor, which then finally emits a white light. Also, another technique is to create a "light sandwich," in which the layered lights also unite to create a white light.
