Floral Wholesale

Floral wholesale is a wise investment for anyone who plans on running a successful gift or flower shop. Buying flowers retail, even if you buy in bulk, is still quite expensive. Floral wholesale, on the other hand, is a much smarter business strategy as wholesale prices are almost always cheaper than regular retail prices.

How to Buy Floral Wholesale

The first thing you need to do if you're planning on buying floral wholesale is get yourself a tax ID number (also called an EIN). Most wholesale suppliers are only allowed to sell to customers who have this ID. You can get a tax ID number by applying for one at your local IRS office; before you go, you'll need proof you're a legitimate business owner.

Once you have the wholesale ID, you're ready to go in search of reputable floral wholesale suppliers. Many florists like attending the weekly flower marts because they can get a firsthand look at which flowers are in bloom and which are on their way out. Another plus of attending the weekly flower marts is that you can then buy direct from the grower and cut out the middle-man.

However, if you don't have time to attend the weekly flower marts, there are other options. There are many floral wholesale suppliers that will deliver a fresh shipment of wholesale flowers direct to your doorstep. It may be more expensive than the flower mart, but it's certainly a lot easier.
