Crystal Suncatchers

A crystal suncatcher is a wonderful little way to add joy to any room of the house, every day. It's the kind of thing that will always make you smile just a little bit when you have to get up at the break of dawn to get ready for work. You can hang one in your kitchen to cast rainbows all over the counter and the walls for you to enjoy while making breakfast, or in your bathroom (if it has a window--sorry city dwellers!) to make sparkles in the water.

Get a Quality Crystal Suncatcher

If you want your suncatcher to look brilliant and make stunning rainbows, it is essential that you get a perfect crystal. Inclusions or shoddy faceting will result in a crystal that looks dull and produces few, if any, rainbows. The refractory process of light going through a prism to make a rainbow is not complex, but it does rely on precise angles, and an unobstructed path for the light. Top quality crystals from Swarovski or other world class Austrian brands can provide this while imitations cannot.

A suncatcher isn't just for making rainbows, though. There are stunning colors and shapes which will look beautiful under artificial light, or even when they're not doing prism duty. If you know someone particularly likes purple, you can get a violet suncatcher, and instead of hanging it on simple fishing line, get it strung on a purple cord, or a black cord decorated with complementary beads.

If you have a porch or a garden where you like to relax, you can hang a couple of suncatchers and a wind chime to make the ambience complete. The soothing sounds of a delicate wind chime and the beautiful colors and magical sparkles of a suncatcher make your garden seem like a place where anything good can happen. You can get colors that match your flowers, or clear crystals of different shapes with a cool elegance all their own.
