Lavender bath products have a number of lovely and soothing properties. First, for purple fans, they're likely to be an attractive shade, which can make you happy even when they're just sitting in a bottle on your shelf. Perhaps more importantly, lavender bath products are made with one of the scents most well known for its calming and relaxing properties in aromatherapy.

Lavender Bath Products Sooth Your Soul and Your Skin

People have been bathing in lavender and using the scent to make their linens nicer for millennia. Lavender is known to relieve tension and anxiety, as well as some of the pesky headaches that can come from stress. It is also used to treat insomnia--a nice warm bath with lavender oils, bubbles, or salts will help you drift off happily even if you have a tendency to lie awake in bed for a while when you wish you could be dreaming.

Bathing with lavender oil can also be great for your skin. If you have a sunburn, it is highly recommended, and dry skin also benefits from lavender oil. This is especially useful to know because baths with plain water are typically not a great idea if you have dry skin; but add some lavender, and you can enjoy the pleasures of a long soak and also be good to your sensitive skin.

Lavender bath products can have some particularly wonderful scents because lavender blends well with a number of other popular oils and fragrances. Several citrus scents like grapefruit, orange, and lemon are very pleasant with lavender, as is eucalyptus. These revitalizing scents can make lavender a little less soporific if you want to feel calm but not snoozy. For a romantic bath, try lavender mixed with geranium, jasmine, or rose.
