Spa Gift Baskets

Take a deep breath, hold it a moment, then softly exhale, saying "spa." There now, don't you feel better? Unfortunately, that's as close as many of us are going to get to a spa weekend in San Diego. Fortunately, there are spa products in abundance, to create our own spa at home.

Spa Baskets Make Wonderful Gifts

A spa basket is a gift that's easy to put together and always appreciated. Choose a large, pretty basket and fill it with pampering goodies. You can call it a "head to toe" basket, and include a deep conditioner for the hair and buffing cream for the feet. A home facial basket would include cleanser, exfoliant, mask, toner and moisturizer. You could also start with a pretty towel and wash cloth and add bubble bath, scented oils, after bath lotions, and maybe an inflatable bath pillow.

Spa baskets aren't only for women, of course. Many skin care companies such as The Body Shop, Origins and La Prairie have full lines of products for men, including shaving creams, moisturizers, soothing gels and masks. A gift certificate for a massage, of course, would please both men and women.

You can also find some glorious spa baskets already prepared at online gift sites. Aromatherapy candles, specialty soaps, loofahs and massagers are among the many products you can choose from. Maybe you should order one for yourself, too, since you've just saved yourself enough time to have a nice, leisurely bath.
