Alligator Watch Bands

Animal-rights activists decry the sale of alligator watch bands just as much as they do mink coats and leather shoes. And yet many of these same people drive Jaguars! What hypocrisy! While killing any endangered species is never justified, it's important to realize that consumers will always pay for rare and exotic items, whether they come from a gator, a chinchilla, or a bald eagle.

You thus have a choice. You can, in good conscience, purchase alligator watch bands, many of which are exquisite looking, and live with the consequences. You can also opt not to buy any animal products and attempt to apply that same standard to all your consumer choices. Or you can purchase fake alligator bands, which are often indistinguishable from the genuine article.

Real Alligator Watch Bands

If you're a true connoisseur, you've probably settled on option number one. Doing so, you have not reduced your stylistic choices as some people believe. There are alligator watch bands in brown, black, tan, cognac, and a variety of other dark shades. If there are colors you're seeking that aren't readily found in the alligator community, rest assured that other reptiles pick up the slack.

Hold off on the alligator watch straps and elect for a lizard strap instead. Many of these come in the blues and whites you're be harder pressed to find in the gator kingdom. Genuine alligator and crocodile watch straps can also be custom finished in colors less indigenous to the animal world. After all, if you're going to pay thousands for a premium watch, you ought to be able to get your band in any color you choose.
