Baby-G watches are designed to be the female counterpart to Casio's G-Shock line. The have all the toughness and functionality of the G-Shocks, but scaled down to fit a smaller wrist. They also come in a rather dazzling array of colors.

A new Baby-G limited model is an excellent example. It has a duplex LC display with seven data display patterns, and four display patterns in timekeeping mode. It measures world time in 27 time zones and has a 1/100-second stopwatch. Its measuring modes include elapsed time, split time, 1st/2nd place times and a countdown timer.

And like all Baby-G watches, it's cute. The silver-tone resin band comes with accents in pink, aqua and lavender, playing off against a mirror-finish bezel. It also has animation, which displays a puppy, kitten or dolphin gamboling on the dial! Other models sport lavender hibiscus patterns, flowers and stars, making this a serious watch that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Baby-G Watches for Water Sports

Another very popular model of Baby-G watches is the Baby-G G-lide, designed for surfing and other water activities. This model includes a tide graph feature that shows tide conditions at a glance. It also has world time for 29 time zones, preset with information about famous surfing sites around the world. With its 100 meter water resistance, surf bunnies can wear it without worry.
