G-Shock watches by Casio are noted for being both tough and technologically advanced. A G-shock watch comprises 16 layers of circuits, solar cells, and LCDs, all in a rugged case that can withstand whatever abuse you might hand it. When you throw in the convenience of solar power and the accuracy of atomic clock calibration, you have one very fine package indeed.

G-Shock watches were originally designed to meet the criteria of "Triple 10." That means that the watch must survive a 10 meter fall, be water resistant to a depth of 10 atmospheres and last for 10 years. Today's G-Shock watches meet those criteria and more.

The Newest Model of G-Shock Watches

One of the most recent G-shock model lines is the Cockpit series, which plays on the NASCAR craze without the use of tacky logos. The watch's face is designed to look like the instrument panel on a racecar, and there are small metal "roll bars" to protect the crystal from damage. It comes with all the bells and whistles, including atomic time and solar power.

G-Shock watches can easily be found online, often at deep discounts. There are a great many models and styles to choose from, so a site that has a comparison or search function will serve you well. Whichever G-Shock you choose, you can be certain that you are getting a tough, well-made precision instrument.
