Sapphire Engagement Ring

A sapphire engagement ring is sure to surprise her and put a smile on her face. Ancient Persian rulers believed that Sapphires' reflection painted the heavens blue. In fact, its very name in Latin, sapphirus, means blue. Natural gem-quality sapphire is found in many parts of the world, but the rarest of gems are from Kashmire and Myanmar (Burma), most prized because their color is closest to pure spectral blue.

A sapphire wedding ring is symbolic of not only your love for her, but also of her unique personality and individuality. Sporting a sapphire engagement ring shows the world that she doesn't follow the beaten path, rather she blazes her own trail and follows her own heart. If your lovely lady has classic tastes but also likes to deviate from the norm, a sapphire ring could be right up her alley.

Sapphires and Settings

You can have a sapphire engagement ring custom made to your specifications. You could choose an oval stone flanked on either side by diamonds, or you could opt for a trio of sapphires with smaller diamonds in between. Or you could choose one larger sapphire stone without any other stones to deduct from its own brilliance.

Wedding rings should be as unique as the person wearing them. Never worry about what everyone else is wearing or what trends are popular at the time. When the time comes to pop the big question, listen to your heart, and it will lead you in the right direction of the wedding ring of her dreams.
