Tinnitus Remedies

There are a ton of potential tinnitus remedies people have tried. Some are based on actual science, some are old wives tales. I've seen people do things with candles and smoke. I've seen people do jaw exercises. My grandma had no shortage of tinnitus remedies. According to her, eating anchovies with peanut butter would put a stop to that pesky ringing in the ears. In truth, none of these home remedies really work, but there is a way to combat tinnitus that is safe and effective.

Tinnitus Remedies That Work

Some people suffer chronic tinnitus, others only sporadically. If you've ever been a loud rock concert, you've probably experienced tinnitus. The best way to stop that resonant sound in your ears is to stop it before it makes itself at home. And how do you stop a sound? Easy, with another sound. That's where white noise comes into play.

Using white noise to counter act distracting environmental noises is about the only one of the tinnitus remedies I've heard of that works. White noise creates a shield of unintrusive sound around you that other sounds cannot penetrate. Incoming sounds are masked by the white noise. The white noise itself does not cause tinnitus, so you don't have to worry about that.

As tinnitus remedies go, white noise sound masking is the best. It works for lots of other things too. Protecting speech privacy, drowning out noisy neighbors, and helping you sleep, just to name a few.
