Document imaging will allow you to create a new filing system that is not dependent upon bulky, unwieldy physical files. Once all the documents have been scanned and are on your system, you are free to arrange them any way you like. It's a bit like arranging numbers on Quicken or QuickBooks; once you have all the numbers inputted, you can call up spread sheets, financial comparisons and data summaries at will.

How Document Imaging Frees Your Office

Document imaging will allow you to handle all your office documents with the same ease and facility. Need to gather several reports for a meeting? Your digital imaging system already has them grouped according to your specification. All your team has to do is to click on to that index field. You may not even need a meeting, as your notes and annotations will immediately be flashed to them as soon as you make them.

You can profile your documents in an unlimited number of index set-ups. Within these set-ups are up to 33 user-defined fields. Once you set up a category, you can use the powerful search engine to find and store all relevant material within this category. No more tedious hours going through files and pulling the relevant material, or having it photocopied!

You can create print reports from your files with the click of a mouse. In fact, you can rearrange material, add or subtract editing or notes, and print whatever version you like. You can export the contents of a file or folder directly to Excel or HTML, or you can email or fax it. Extended database features allow users to create index "information only" documents when an image or file attachment is not required or unavailable.
