Document Scanning Machines

There are entry level flatbed document scanners which handle a low volume. On the high end, there are sophisticated high volume scanners. Some scanners are customized for specialized applications. For example, there is a color scanner for the medical industry.

The average scanner will process 20 pages per minute. Their high speed UB will be 2.0 or 1.1. The scanner will have a 48-bit internal color, with 600 x 1200 dpi. It will scan directly to PDF.

Be sure to investigate document imaging services on the Internet. These companies will often have a full package of services to convert your office completely, and a scanner will be included. You will want top technological leadership plus hands-on customer support, which will only come with a top recommended document imaging company.
