Check Spyware

Checking for spyware on your own is nearly impossible. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of registry entries to search, and unless you know exactly what you are looking for it is simply not practical to try to find all spyware infections yourself. The alternative is to use spyware detecting software and removal tools.

Efficient Removal of Spyware from Your System

Detecting spyware is the first step in discovering the threat on your hard drive. Spyware checking programs scan your hard drive and registry for evidence of infection. They then report the locations and entries associated with a given spyware. The downside of these programs is that many do not remove these threats, leaving it up to you to manually take care of the problem.

Some programs can kill two birds with one stone, since they can both detect and remove all spyware from your system. Most are simple to use, requiring only a few mouse clicks to get underway. Good programs perform all of their processes automatically, letting you walk away without even having to monitor its progress.

Look for programs that are well supported, and that receive frequent updates as new threats surface. This is important since spyware developers are constantly improving their own code to become increasingly difficult to detect. It would be a good idea to run such a spyware detector regularly, receive the updates and even check for spyware daily.
