They say everything's big in Texas, and that expression is not lost on Dallas golf. In Dallas, golf courses are everywhere, play as challenging as courses anywhere, and offer the mature trees that will make your day on the fairways most enjoyable. In fact, Dallas golf is so big, people everywhere are playing it.

Dallas Golf Courses for Every Level of Play

The TPC (Tournament Players Club) Las Colinas is home to the annual Byron Nelson Classic, and a favorite for the touring pros each year. The average golfer will find their play actually improves with the idea that they are playing the same course that the pros play, but don't expect a walk in the park at the extremely challenging Dallas golf course, it's a toughie! The resort associated with the TPC course is similarly world-class in everything you'd expect. Don't look for bargains at this golf course, the green fees are over in the upper range, and they do not offer weekday rates.

Don't leave Texas without playing the very challenging, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed Sky Creek Ranch. The club tee slope of 120 belies the challenges in store for the average golfer. Big Bear Creek will be there on almost every hole to call your miss-hit shots, and if the creek doesn't get you this golf course has plenty of lakes and tributaries that just might. Yet, while the course may be sometimes punishing, the green fees are a quite reasonable, under $100.

But these are only a couple of the many, many golf courses located throughout the Dallas area. Other golf courses in the Dallas area that we recommend are The Tribute, Tour 18, Texas Star, and the Cowboys Club. Don't leave Texas without playing a round on a Dallas golf course.
