Adidas Shin Protectors

For thousands of martial artists, Adidas shin protectors have kept their delicate shinbones from countless bruises and possible breaks. After all, to them it is better to maintain their health and keep their bones and skin in good shape than risk them to lasting and permanent damage. Some athletes who break shin bones lose months of training and can come back to school weaker and with less power behind kicks.

Adidas shin protectors are recognized by the W.T.F. (World TaeKwondo Federation) and are highly recommended amongst teachers and instructors. They usually come in white vinyl, although the "Deluxe" line of sparring gear includes red and blue as well. They are designed to absorb the shock of a blow and disperse this energy across the length and width of the shin.

Like Adidas arm protectors, these shin guards are created with multiple layers of foam and spongy material to pad the front and sides of the leg. Around the ankle is a special insert layer to protect these delicate bones, while ventilation holes on the guard are included as well. Elastic bands wrap around the leg to secure them while velcro holds it all in place.

These shin protectors can come in simple knee to ankle length, or as full leg protectors that cover the knee bone to the instep of the foot. They can be worn underneath uniform pants or on top, as long as they are wrapped carefully and securely. An Adidas instep guard can also be purchased separately and worn by itself if needed.
