Kung Fu Video

When most of us were children, renting the latest Kung Fu video meant watching a fun action movie that usually took place in Asia. It may mean the same thing to you now. However, it's also possible you're referring to an instructional Kung Fu video.

Instructional Kung Fu Videos are great to have because they allow you to practice in the privacy of your own home. You can train whenever you want, wearing whatever you want - you don't even have to shower or comb your hair. (Although you'll probably want to afterward!)

The Instructional Kung Fu Video Good, But Not Great

Great would be attending a Kung Fu class and learning from a real live instructor. However, instructional martial arts videos can be very useful as a back up or a refresher for full lessons. If you've been away from classes for a while, watching a video can help you get back into the swing of things. If you're not sure you're getting a particular move, you can go home and practice it with the help of a video instructor. You don't even have to wear your Kung Fu uniform!

But remember, for instructional and safety purposes, a Kung Fu video is no match for a Kung Fu instructor. You even benefit from having other students around to give you tips or otherwise provide healthy competition. So, while it's good to have a Kung Fu video, it's not as good as taking a class.
