Martial Art Patches

For all practitioners of most self defense systems, martial art patches are wonderful ways of decorating a uniform, gear bag, or any personal clothing to reflect their love of the sport. Whether you are a part of a Karate school, learning Tai Chi, or are a student of Aikido, patches are colorful and traditional reminders of your personal and physical journey learning a martial art. They are also ways that schools can create a unique identity to be proud of when tournament times come along.

Most martial art patches are made of durable and washable fabrics that can be sewn or glued on to any gear. Some are designed to reflect the national origin of the martial art, such as Korea for Tae Kwon Do, or China for Tai Chi, and may incorporate flag designs from these countries. Others may have special lettering to indicate the level of expertise of the individual, such as "student" or "instructor."

Ordering Martial Art Patches

If your school is in need of creating special patches for that unique school identity, there are many companies that either design or simply manufacture patches based on an original design. Sometimes, all you need to do is simply email a digital image to the company and wait for the colors and lines to be translated into embroidered form. Ask in advance if the martial art supplier has this ability or if they know of a company that outsources patches.

However, if you are not looking for a specific school's patch design and are instead searching for some fun gifts for martial arts students, both traditional and modern patches are available at a number of shops. You can easily view hundreds of patch designs online and choose as many as you like for your fellow classmates, instructors, or yourself. And, should you have any problems finding a specific patch, feel free to contact the supplier and ask if any special orders can be made through them.
