Fernandina Beach Florida is the only city on Amelia Island. It resides on the northern end of the island and is considered to be Florida's first resort town. The town is very charming with an old seaport and a fifty-block historic district.

Fernandina Beach Florida is a historical standout. The Palace Saloon is the oldest tavern in Florida and is considered to be a Florida landmark. Fort Clinch State Park is popular for visitors as well because it is the site of an original Civil War-era fort.

Centre Street is the heart of downtown Fernandina Beach. It features eight blocks of restaurants, and shops for art, antiques, and apparel. Fernandina Beach is also known as the birthplace of the modern shipping industry.
