As the capital of California, Sacramento is rich with natural and historical wonders that make a Sacramento tour a great pleasure. From Old Town Sacramento to the banks of the river, there are many places to explore. While in the heartland of California, Sacramento is just over an hour from San Francisco.

Some of the most interesting places in Sacramento are Sutter's Fort and Sutter's Mill, where gold was first discovered. You also might consider visiting the legendary Delta King riverboat, docked on the Sacramento River. Of course, there are plenty of political landmarks to visit in Sacramento, too-from the Governor's Mansion to the State capitol.

For a lower-key day, you might consider visiting the Tower Theater, conveniently located right beside the legendary Tower Cafe, of Tower Records fame. You might also just shop until you drop at the K Street Mall or Arden Faire Mall. Don't forget to visit Arco Arena to catch your favorite concert or even a Sacramento Kings game!

Beyond the Sacramento Tour

If you're staying in Sacramento, but would like to see other parts of Northern California, you might visit an online touring company website. They oftentimes have hotel pick-up services from Sacramento. You could be chauffeured to any touring location, straight from your hotel!
