Manuel Antonio, located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, is one of the most frequented areas by tourists. Of the several natural parks and reserves in the country, Manuel Antonio National Park is oft regarded as the most beautiful. Most of the lodging in this area are boutique hotels and villas on the edge of the jungle along the coastline. These hotels offer magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the rainforest on the other.

Many Manuel Antonio hotels offer guided tours of the rainforest to guests. There may either be a guide on staff at the hotel, or they can refer you to guides in the area. Taking a tour with a guide is recommended to get the maximum amount of information about the jungle as well as to protect your safety. Hiking alone in the rainforest can be dangerous because there are some wild animals you have to look out for, and the terrain can be treacherous at points.

Finding a Hotel In Manuel Antonio

If you know you want to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park on your next trip to Costa Rica, you have several options for lodging. You can stay in the downtown Manuel Antonio area if you prefer, but the hotels on the outskirts and on the hill are far more highly recommended. There are also a number of hotels that are located along the coast between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Staying in between these two cities makes traveling to each easy. You can enjoy twice the number of restaurants and attractions this way.

Finding a great hotel in the Manuel Antonio area is easily done using the Internet. There are a number of search engines that will point you in the right direction. You should, however, do a little independent research once you have found a hotel that is appealing to you.
