There are resorts in cities and towns all around the world, but what makes a resort romantic? The concept of romance is kind of like the concept of beauty--it is in the eye of the beholder. What one person considers romantic, another might consider boring. However, there are a couple norms that most people can agree upon when it comes to what is romantic.

What Makes a Romantic Resort?

If romantic resorts have one thing in common, it is beautiful scenery whether in the interior, the exterior, or both. Costa Rica is one of those places with pure natural beauty as well as hotels with amazing interior design. The romance of Costa Rica comes in many layers. The beautiful views and natural setting is only one layer. The cool breezes that come off the water on both the Pacific and Caribbean sides of the island are another tantalizing layer. The soothing sounds of both the wildlife of the jungle and the crashing of the waves of the ocean are another layer. Costa Rica is layer upon layer of romance.

Another quality that makes a resort romantic is privacy. It's hard to imagine feeling romantic in a crowd of people. When you are with your sweetheart, you want the rest of the world to fade away. Many Costa Rican hotels offer perfect privacy, from your private villa or hut on the edge of the rainforest to the secluded beaches. You don't have to worry about unwanted intrusions into your romantic getaway. Staying in and around the jungle feels is as if you are in the middle of no where and everywhere at the same time.

No matter what your definition of romantic, Costa Rica will fit it. You have only to seek, and you will find all of the qualities of a romantic getaway. For most couples, one of the most romantic trait about Costa Rica is that they won't have to break the bank to go there!
