Throughout the state, resort companies accommodate the high demand for Florida family vacations. Some parents enjoy taking their children to common attractions like Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios, but there is a lot more to Florida than just Orlando. Cities like Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Tampa all offer fun and exciting attractions that are perfect for Florida family vacations.

Pensacola, Florida, a beach city, offers visitors of all ages plenty to do. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, many hotels and condos situated along the coast present breathtaking views of the shoreline. For excitement, parents take their kids to Dinosaur Adventure Land, where people enjoy many fun rides and learn about our favorite extinct species from expertly narrated science demos.

People staying in Tallahassee, one of the quietest major cities in the Sunshine State, enjoy relaxing vacations. Couples and families with older children who can appreciate the beauty of nature may prefer Tallahassee vacations to more hectic excursions to other parts of Florida. A family trip to Fun Station may be all the excitement some people need. This amusement park features a 36-hole miniature golf course, go-cart races, laser tag, and enough arcades to drain a bank account until it's empty, one quarter at a time.

Contrary to common opinion, Tampa Bay is not merely an extended retirement community. Tampa has an aquarium that exhibits sharks, rays, and many other sea dwelling creatures. In addition, folks can visit the Tampa Zoo. Busch Gardens, an amusement park that actually predates Disney, adds high-speed adventure to Florida family vacations.
