No matter if you're flying out 20 of your closest friends to celebrate your daughter's wedding, or you're planning a business meeting for your company, you can find discounts on group travel when you plan ahead. Many of the top airlines offer discounts of up to 10 percent or more for group travel. If you speak with a booking agent, you should be able to negotiate a reduced airfare.

If you're planning a wedding vacation for a group, you can often find upgrades for the bride and groom. For example, Hawaiian Airlines offers two upgrades to first-class when you book seats for at least ten group members. What better way to celebrate the union of two families than spending a week in the Hawaiian sun?

Up, Up and Away!

If you want to secure the best possible rate for your group air travel, it's important to book all of your tickets for the same flight. This not only helps with ground travel when you arrive at your destination, but it also helps to increase the likelihood of receiving additional group savings. If you want to book a block of seats on a given flight, you need to book them at least three months in advance.

When booking tickets for your party, you need to make sure you have the right passenger information. In this day of heightened airport security, you simply can't afford to list a passenger by the wrong name. If you have a last minute cancellation, or you need to change passenger names, you need to check with the airline for further information. In some cases, you simply have to forfeit the ticket price for last minute cancellations.
