If you're a group travel planner, you have several different resources to turn to for help. Many group planners rely on the Internet for searching for the best prices on hotels, airfare and vacation packages. When you log onto the Internet, you can compare prices and accommodations from the comfort of your own home.

Another great reason to use the Internet when planning a group vacation is the ability to create online invitations. If you're planning a vacation for a large group of people, the last thing you want to do is spend all of your time on the phone trying to reach all of the group members. You can create an online emailing list to reach all group members with a single e-mail. Some travel planners even create web pages dedicated to group vacations. These pages often include color photos, trip updates, message boards, and possible activities.

If you don't have access to the Internet, or you're simply not ready to embrace this technology, you still have plenty of places to turn for help in planning your group vacation. If you visit your local library, you can find a number of different travel books and magazines. Some libraries even carry promotional videos for vacations throughout the world.

Many people prefer to book hotel rooms and airline tickets by simply picking up the phone and calling airlines and hotels directly. Some of the top hotels in the country work directly with group vacation planners to secure the best possible rates for larger groups. Many of the top hotels and airlines offer exceptional deals for special occasions like weddings, family reunions, and corporate events.
