Waikoloa Village is located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island. The resort in the village covers 62 acres of land. Guests can spend their days walking through the lush gardens that lie on the property, or they can travel down to the beach and take in one of the best ocean views in all of Hawaii. However, most people who come to Waikoloa are more concerned with sand traps and straight-aways than they are with laying out by the water.

Waikoloa is home to two championship-level golf courses. The Beach Course is rated 71.5, with a slope rating of 133. It features great views of the Pacific and some extremely tricky holes. King's Course is a par 72, and it has a rating of 73.9. People of all skill levels can enjoy rounds on the course, but it has caused many a player to strangle his clubs in disgust.

Waikoloa Village Golf Packages

Golf packages for Waikoloa Village are some of the best available in Hawaii. With the package, a guest can enjoy 18 holes of golf daily. He can try his hand on both courses throughout his stay. Perhaps the greatest feature of the golf package is that tee times are guaranteed. This is crucial, because it is often very difficult for visitors to Hawaii to get times on any course, let alone the courses at Waikoloa.

Golf tours are directed at golf enthusiasts. However, people who have no desire to spend their time in Hawaii chipping away can still sightsee in the area while the golfers get their daily dose of birdies and pars. It is also very easy to set off on adventure or sightseeing tours from the Village, if you'd rather not devote the day to golf.
