When most people think about vacationing in America, they think of southern Florida, Los Angeles, New York City and Las Vegas. Reno, Nevada is not the first city to jump into people's minds, but it's certainly a great place to have a lot of fun, kick back and relax. It has all the entertainment that Las Vegas has to offer in terms of gambling and outrageous shows.

However, it also has amazing scenery with lots of outdoor activities. It's more of a family city than Las Vegas. In fact, if you plan your trip around September, you might be able to catch the Reno Balloon Races. You can set up a little picnic for yourself and watch as over 100 balloons take to the sky filling it with a color palette of fun. Over a period of about three days, you can watch several kinds of races.

Booking Your Room

When you take a vacation in Reno, Nevada, you obviously have to book a room. When on vacation, everyone likes to treat him or herself. We create exceptions because we are on vacation. We eat a little more dessert. We spend a little more money on food and souvenirs. We can also tend to splurge a little on the hotel we stay at or the rooms we stay in. We want it to be nice, comfortable and luxurious if possible.

In order to find the best rates for your lodging, I suggest using the Internet. For some reason, you will almost always find cheaper rates online than if you call the hotel or resort yourself. In addition, you don't have to deal with waiting on the phone for a long time or any unpleasant employees. You simply choose the dates you want, and you're all set.
