Tuscany Villa Rentals

Villas in Tuscany are so wonderful because they are so relaxing. It's like being in your own home. You can kick off your shoes, watch TV on the couch, cook and bask in your own space. It's ultra relaxing, though, because of where you are. You're in Tuscany. It's one of the most tranquil, beautiful, exciting and culturally rich places in all of Western Europe.

If you like to cook, you'll love what a Tuscan villa has to offer. You'll certainly have your own kitchen, built and decorated to fit in perfectly with the Italian aura. You'll also have plenty of Italian markets nearby, overflowing with fresh pasta, herbs, vegetables and more. Take a night off from going out, pick up some of your favorite ingredients and throw together a meal like you've never had.

Shopping at the Market

Don't worry if you don't speak any Italian. Italians are very friendly and helpful, and you can usually get away with pointing and hand gestures. Also, you'll find that many Italians speak English. However, if you want to try out a little phrase just to have the experience, say the name of the thing you want (such as gnocchi or fettuccini) and then say, "Basta per (a number) persone." That means, "enough for (number, such as four) people."

I don't mean to insult those fluent in this lyrical romantic language. I just know that's one phrase that got me through several market experiences without any hitches. Even if you've never cooked before, just get some pasta, olive oil, throw in some fresh ingredients and you're all set!
